Quality control engineers use the spectrometer to test the Cu, Ni, Fe, and Mn of cuni pipes, the composition is by the standard regulations. Chemical composition does not meet, and it was judged as unqualified products, scrap disposal.<\/p>

Wall Thickness Test<\/strong>:\u00a0 Engineer will measure the thickness of the cuni pipe with calibrated vernier callipers. The outside diameter of a cuni pipe is less than 4 inches,\u00a0 thickness of the cuni pipe at any point cannot vary more than 10% from the standard specification.<\/p>

  • The chemical composition of cuni pipe contains about 90% copper and 10% nickel. It is resistant to seawater corrosion and is used in seawater piping. The service life in a seawater environment can reach 20 to 30 years. cuni pipe’s seawater corrosion resistance is better than that of stainless steel (316L and 304L).<\/li><\/ul>

    • cuni pipe also has the significant advantage of preventing the growth of marine biology. Therefore, cuni pipe does not allow the growth of large numbers of marine organisms on the pipe wall, which can clog the pipe. This performance is better than titanium alloy pipe.Ta2 titanium tubing also has good resistance to seawater corrosion. But it can’t prevent marine life from growing like cuni pipe.\u00a0 Marine organisms will attach to the inner wall of the pipe, damaging and corroding the pipe.
